One of my goals as a parent is to foster independence in my children and one of the ways I do that is to let them dress themselves. While Ben, who is 8, picks out his own clothes everyday, Cate and Alex get to pick whatever they want to wear once or twice a week. This morning, Alex put together this very hip outfit. Did you notice the chic way he buttoned the too small shirt over the festive tye dye?? After asking Alex if he thought all of his clothes went together, he commented "Mommy-there is Blue in everything so it matches". And there you have it. I can't wait to see what he will put together in his teenage years!!
I usually get my daughter Cate to pick a winner from every Barn Boutique. This time Alex and Ben wanted to pick someone as well. So I decided to give away two $100 gift cards as well as the Grand Prize of a $500 gift card.
Without further adieu...
Ben picked #54-Susan Van Arman ($100 gift card)
Alex picked #30- Kim Thomas ($100 gift card)
and (insert drum roll here)....
Cate picked #39-Carolyn Haydo ($500 gift card)
Congrats to all of the winners!! Please contact me so I can send you your gift card!
As much as I love to get eye contact with huge catchlights in a subjects eyes, sometimes an expression that cracks me up is worth it's weight in gold. For example, while I was changing settings, this little cutie kept doing this while waiting for me to be ready. Loved it!
I really have been the dreaded B word again (busy-shhh I did not just say it out loud) and have not made blogging my top priority. So I am coming up with ways to still post without being long winded since typing is not my favorite thing in the world. So without further adieu, I present Favorite Pic Thurs, where I post an image that I love that did not make it to the sneak peek.
Where you may ask??
I have been photographing this little sweetie since she was born and was so excited for our session this weekend! We got some rain and some sun and had a blast with both! Gotta love the green frog boots from Target, I really think they made the outfit.
I love these colors together! When I did this little girl and her Mom's shoot for the Mother's Day Tribute, they came out in very hip pink and brown outfits! When they booked another session just for little "K", I requested that she wear that outfit again, because I knew it would photograph well. Plus,it didn't hurt that the model rocked the session either! K &K, here is your sneak peeks...
